Group Visits to the Library
Children’s librarians can tailor age appropriate programs to meet your specific needs. Themed storytimes, introductions to library services, introductions to online researching, and overviews of resources in specific subjects are some of the programs offered. The children’s librarian at the location nearest you can work with you to create a memorable, informative program for your group or class.

The maximum group size we are able to accommodate varies based on the physical facilities of the location and the type of program requested. Please schedule your visit a minimum of two weeks in advance.

Visits to Your School or Organization
Library staff travels every other week to preschools, childcare facilities, schools, after-school programs, and community organizations. Services offered include thematic programs tailored to individual curriculums, and book selection and delivery. Please contact the children’s librarian at the location nearest you for availability, detailed information and to schedule regular or one-time visits.

Summer Reading Program
Every summer the libraries present a two-month long Summer Reading Program for children and teens. Young readers keep track of the books they read in order to receive certificates of achievement and reading rewards. Each library presents a variety of age appropriate programs based on the Summer Reading theme for that year. The program is free and open to all preschool and school aged children. Registration is required and a minimum number of books must be read to complete the program. Please contact the children’s librarian at the location nearest you to learn about registration and programming. Details about this year’s program will be posted here when available.
