Science Café on the Coast is acollaboration between The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf CoastLibraries, Harrison County Library System, Long Beach Public Library, the HancockCounty Library System, Infinity Science Center and Mississippi Gulf CoastCommunity College.  Science Café on theCoast will host a presentation on “Fossils”on Monday, January 6th at 6pm at the Margaret Sherry PublicLibrary. Our presenter will be Meaghan Huseman, Conservation Educator withMississippi Museum of Natural Science.  Diveinto the fascinating history of Mississippi’s fossils!  Discover what fossils are, how they form, andwhat they reveal about life on Earth millions of years ago.  Learn about the creatures that once roamedMississippi and explore the geological timeline that shaped our planet.  Perfect for all history and fossilenthusiasts of all ages!

The Pass Christian Public Library and the PassChristian Garden Club are partnering to host a garden program with MaryTerwilliger with Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District onThursday, January 9th at 1pm.   The topic will be “Night Pollinators”.  Pollinators are in decline around theworld.  This program will talk about whatwe can plant to help our pollinators-especially in the fall of the year!

In our Craft and Create program, children aged 6-12 will explore a variety of hands-on art projects that spark creativity, develop fine motor skills, and encourage self-expression. Occurring bi-weekly, the program will encourage young artists to dive into exciting new activities like painting, collage, Lego Building, paper crafts, and much more.
