Join us at the Pass Christian Public Library for Barre Class with Ms. Pearl exercise class.  Barre class is a workout technique inspired by elements of ballet, yoga, and Pilates that focuses on low-impact, high-intensity movements designed to strengthen your body.  It’s a great total body work out each time! Classes begin at 9:30 a.m.  Pearl Peterman is an experienced Barre instructor.

The library is thrilled to have author Deborah Tainshfacilitate “Flash Writing Your Memoir” 5 week series here at the Pass ChristianLibrary beginning at 2pm on Wednesday, October 16^th and continuingweekly until Wednesday, November 13^th.  The purpose of the workshop is to inspire andassist those attending the class to write stories for family posterity throughflash, micro and creative nonfiction writing to tell true life or fictionalstories.

Deborah Tainsh is the author of thenovel Love’s Return;  the memoir Heartof a Hawk:  One Family’s Sacrifice andJourney Toward Healing; and essays published the Chicken Soup for theSoul publications and Folded Flag: Families of War Share Stories of Coping, Courage and Faith.  Ms.Tainshhas facilitated numerous creative and memoir writing workshops for librariesand Barnes and Noble stores in Georgia and Florida.

Everyone who is interested in writing iswelcome to attend. The Visiting Pet Teams of South Mississippi are bringing back theirpopular Sit, Stay, READ! Children’s Reading Program to the Pass ChristianPublic Library. This program offers a fun way to enhance your child's readingskills with the help of friendly and lovable reading pet partners. It's a greatopportunity for your child to improve their reading skills while having a greattime. Join us for the upcoming sessions on September 21, October 19, November16, and December 21, 2024, from 10 am to noon at the Pass Christian PublicLibrary.

Reading sessions usuallylast for 30 minutes.  Children arerewarded with bookmarks, stickers, or pencils for participating. The program isfree.  Children must not be afraid of orallergic to animals.  There is no need topre-register.
